Local editor's series of five novels takes flight
“August 17, 1862. Rye Tyler halted the Black and scanned the wide open land of Minnesota. The place of his birth. The trail of revenge led him to this state and a place where he would not stop hunting down the three Union soldiers who had massacred defenseless Confederate soldiers in a rotted jail.”
Thus begins the saga of Rye Tyler and Blanche Davis, an unintentional hero and heroine, in a new novel written by local author and Kossuth County Advance editor Alan Van Ormer, entitled “Freedom Flight.”
