A good-to-excellent start
Nearly all of the corn and soybeans planted in north central Iowa have emerged, and producers are hoping the warm weather this week boosts their growth.
According to the latest crops and weather report from USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, wet weather made just 2.6 days suitable for field work in north central Iowa during the week ending May 31. The statewide average was 2.7 days.
